
65 UMLA Students Successfully Attended Virtual Exchange Program Spring Semester 2022, Asia University Taiwan
65 UMLA students successfully attended international courses held by Asia University Taiwan. They participated in an annual international program through the Virtual Exchange Program Spring Semester 2022.
The Virtual Exchange Program for Spring Semester 2022 run from February 14, 2022 to June 18, 2022.
The Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) of UMLA, Nur Hidayati S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kep. explained that UMLA delegated 65 students from various study programs including S1 Nursing, D3 Pharmacy, D3 Physiotherapy, D3 Midwifery, S1 Accounting, S1 Biology, S1 Pharmacy, S1 Physics, S1 Management, and S1 Computer Engineering.
“Each student chooses one of the courses provided in the brochure. The course consists of one to three credits,” she explained.
The course was conducted once a week through online meetings. It was free of charge because UMLA has an MoU with Asia University, Taiwan.
“Students are only charged 10 US dollars for the cost of sending the certificate which is also subsidized by UMLA,” she continued.
Besides certificate, Nur Hidayati mentioned that the participants obtained a transcript of grades that can be used as a certificate accompanying the diploma.
“And of course, they obtain international standard knowledge from international lecturers,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, one of the participants, Aily Nur Aisyah, was thrilled that she could attend the program. “This activity is very interesting for UMLA students to participate in. Especially those who are still in the first semester because we can learn more knowledge. Besides, we can share knowledge with colleagues from other universities across the world,” he said.
She also said that she was interested in this lecture when she was given direction by her lecturer and seniors who had already attended it.
“Moreover, I know that when there are courses that match my major. I definitely follow these activities with good intentions and believe that I can achieve what is expected,” he said.
Aily added that the knowledge she learned in the international course had not been studied on campus so that it added insight into immunology.
Finally, she hoped that international virtual lectures can be held every year so that all students have opportunities to attend it.
