Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan (UMLA) held an online graduation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. This online graduation was conducted in several stages. The first batch was held on July 15th, 2020 attended by 122 undergraduate nursing students and the second batch was held on August 12, 2020 attended by 102 students from Pharmacy/ diploma (61), Physiotherapy/ diploma (14), and Midwifery/ diploma (27). The graduation was conducted via online using ZOOM cloud meeting and broadcast live on the UMLA Youtube channel. This activity was attended by 2 students on the campus, while the other students stayed at home.
The graduation was attended by the Rector of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan, the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Head of the Nursing Undergraduate Program, Head of the Midwifery Program (diploma), Head of the Physiotherapy Program (diploma), and Head of the Pharmacy Program (diploma and bachelor). Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences “Arifal Aris, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes” congratulated all graduates and advised them to maximize their abilities and skills to be ready competiting in society. Rector of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan “Drs. H. Budi Utomo, M.Kes.” in his remarks conveyed that graduates should maintain stamina to stay healthy, as well as preparing themselves for competency tests. In addition, the Rector also said that the minimum GPA set for UMLA graduates is 3.0 in order to compete in society. The event was solemn and closed with a prayer.
