UMLA NEWS – Tuesday, 15th December 2020, an International Webinar was held by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan at 08:30 – 11:00 AM through the Zoom platform and Youtube Streaming. The theme was “Accelerating Economic Recovery After Covid-19” or in Indonesian it means “Mempercepat Pemulihan Ekonomi Setelah Covid-19”.
There were four speakers from Economics and Management scientific backgrounds who presented four materials based on these themes. The first material was “Economic Recovery after Pandemic Covid-19” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Asmahani Aswaddalai from Management and Science University, Malaysia. The second material was “Build Creative and Innovative Business In a Pandemic Era” delivered by Elvina Assadam, S.E, MM as the Head of the UMLA Sharia Economics study program. The third material was “The Role ff the Halal Industry In Economic Recovery” delivered by Farokhah Muzayinatun Niswah, S.El, M.Sc. from UMLA Sharia Economics study program and the fourth material was “Post-Pandemic Financing Risk Management Strategy” delivered by Devi Febrianti, S.E, MSA, a lecturer in the Accounting study program. The International Webinar event was officially opened by the Rector of the Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan, Drs. H. Budi Utomo, M.Kes. This international webinar was attended by 747 participants from 8 countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Tunisia, Egypt, Thailand, Brunei, Oman and Pakistan.
The International Webinar of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan in 2020 aimed to increase participants’ understanding of the economy during the Covid 19 pandemic and it’s recovery efforts so that participants could adapt and knew the economic recovery efforts. The four speakers had presented a very interesting and informative material so the participants were very enthusiastic about the webinar. This could be perceived by many participants who asked questions and made the discussion atmosphere more lively and fun.
