Cirebon, August 20, 2025 — Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon (UM Cirebon) proudly hosted the International Office Forum 2025, a national-level gathering of Heads and Representatives from International Offices (KUI) across Indonesia. Held from August 18–20, the event was organized by UM Cirebon’s International Office in collaboration with the Association of International Offices (ASKUI) of Muhammadiyah–‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA).

The forum featured distinguished speakers from four six global universities within three countries - Malaysia, Thailand, and Russia—who shared insights on international collaboration opportunities such as guest lectures, matching grants, student mobility programs, and visiting professorships. These sessions offered practical strategies for expanding global engagement among Indonesian universities.

A highlight of the event was the signing of a Letter of Intent between Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLa) and Southeast Bangkok University (SBU), Thailand. SBU is renowned for its excellence in Accounting, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Marketing—fields that align closely with UMLa’s academic programs.

“This kind of event is incredibly valuable for building UMLa’s relationships with international universities and opening doors for collaboration across various disciplines,” said Dias Tiara Putri Utomo, as UMLa's representative.

The International Office Forum 2025 marked a significant step toward enhancing the internationalization of higher education in Indonesia. By fostering dialogue and partnership, the forum reaffirmed the commitment of PTMA institutions to global academic cooperation and innovation.
