October 6, 2025 — Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) welcomed a delegation from Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) for a strategic partnership meeting held on the 2nd floor of UMLA Tower. The visit marked a significant milestone in advancing the Tridharma of higher education—education, research, and community service—through collaborative initiatives between the two institutions. During the discussion, both universities explored concrete steps to synergize academic programs, joint research, and community engagement. A key highlight of the meeting was the proposal to initiate language cooperation, particularly in Mandarin and Japanese. Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia, which houses a well-established Mandarin Language Center, expressed its commitment to support UMLA in enhancing students’ foreign language proficiency.
